Meet our team

If you’ve had an eye exam in the Champlain Valley area since 2003, there’s a good chance you’re familiar with some of us already . We look forward to serving you at 802 Eye Care. In the meantime, here’s a little bit about who we are, what we do and what we’ve been up to!

Tiffany Pincombe, O.D.

Dr. Tiffany Pincombe has been practicing optometry in Vermont since 2004. She graduated Beta Sigma Kappa from Indiana University in 2003 after internships in ocular disease, primary care, contact lens and specialized vision care. Dr. Pincombe has worked for over 10 years with Dr. David Beeson in primary care and is excited to start her own practice. Keith and Tiffany worked together almost 10 years before opening 802 Eye Care.

Her love of optometry started at a young age when she got a summer job as a teenager working for the local optometrist in her hometown.

Tiffany is a new mother and enjoys showing her daughter all the reasons her adopted state of Vermont is the best place to live. In nice weather, you’ll find Dr. Pincombe and her family exploring local parks or biking local paths. If the weather keeps them inside, then Tiffany loves to read, try new recipes or work on cross stitch.

Michelle Cote, O.D.

Dr. Michelle Cote joined the 802 Eye Care team in 2022 after working in Essex, VT for many years.

Keith Willis, A.B.O.C.

Our Company History

Open since June 2014, 802 Eye Care is the brainchild of Dr. Tiffany Pincombe and Keith Willis, who have been providing eye care in Vermont for over a decade. Now at their new location in South Burlington, their goal remains the same: provide excellent eye care while helping you see and look your best.

  • Past
  • Present
  • Future

To bring you 802 Eye Care, Dr. Pincombe and Keith Willis purchased an existing practice from Dr. Thomas W. Meaker, who opened this business back in 1993. Since then, Dr. Meaker has developed a large base of loyal patients who returned year after year for their eye exams. After over 20 years, Dr. Meaker made the difficult decision to retire.

Since taking over, we’ve made a few changes to help us provide you with the best care possible. Our current focus is on eye care for the whole family. Our frame selection has been overhauled to meet the needs of today’s contemporary family. From fun and edgy to classic and subtle, you’ll find exactly what you need in our expanded range. We’ve added a separate section of frames just for children so kids can have fun choosing the perfect look. Our selection of sunglasses is larger than ever, and includes some of the most exclusive and fashionable brands.

We’ve updated the look of our store! With fresh colors, some updated displays and a great new style, we hope you’ll find 802 Eye Care comfortable and inviting.

For your convenience, we’ve added equipment to our lab for cutting lenses right here in our store. We stock many common types and prescriptions of lenses that we can cut right away so you don’t have to wait days or weeks for your glasses. This can be very convenient if you need glasses urgently. Please note that we can’t stock everything, so less common lens types or prescriptions will still require waiting a few days for the lab to fulfill your order.

The groundwork has already been laid for converting to Electronic Health Records. This will make it easier to keep your records up to date and coordinate with your family health professional, when necessary. We’ll also be leveraging this web site to provide you with tools to make it easier to interact with us, including scheduling your appointments online or viewing the status of pending orders. We’re very excited about what the future holds for us, and we look forward to growing with you for years to come.
